MAC Lipstick Rebel | Review

Hello Lovelies!
Today's blog will be a review on MAC Rebel Lipstick.

I thought I'd start off by saying that this lipstick is
definitely one of those that looks a lot different in
the tube than it comes out, however I was pleasantly surprised
In the tube it looks like quite a deep purple although when
you apply it the product shows up more like a plum pink as
you can see in my swatches.

As this is a satin lipstick, it is neither a sheen or matte
finish. I quite like this because I don't feel overwhelmed
by the shimmer but neither do I feel that the matte has a
drying effect on my lips. I have heard other people say
that it can make their lips quite dry so it is always a good
idea to have a layer of lip balm underneath.

This lipstick is really well pigmented and comes out as
a very strong colour, it also suits most skin tones in one
way or another so is perfect for almost everyone.
As I am quite a pale person, sometimes lipsticks can be quite overwhelming against my skin tone so with this lipstick I tend to only apply a small amount and smudge it out with my finger to prevent looking like a three year old playing with her Mum's makeup.

Due to the good pigment in this it can look quite messy if
you rush the application, so I recommend applying with a lip brush
with a lip liner underneath. This pretty much goes with
any bold colour though.
I also find that I don't often need to reapply this lipstick,
even if I smudge it out to create a more muted shade because
it stays really well, and when it does wear off a raspberry
pink kind of shade is left on the lips.

I really like this lipstick because of its versatility, in
the sense that you can use it for whatever kind of look
depending on the intensity you apply it with. It's also
quite an unusual shade and I haven't seen many others this
colour.

All over this is a perfect Autumn/winter lipstick that could
also be worn in summer.
I currently do not have any other MAC Lipsticks to compare it
to at the moment.

What is your favourite MAC shade? What is good about it?
Thanks for reading
